19 Beauty and the Beast, a Disney movie based on a
classic fairytale by Madame Gabrielle-Suzanne
Barbot de Villeneuve, shows the importance of not
judging others before you get to know them.
Belle, a beautiful and kind young lady, lives
with her father. She turns down a marriage
proposal from Gaston, a conceited, narrow-minded
man in town. When going on a trip for her
father, Belle ends up getting held hostage in a
magical castle with a beast. However, the beast
is really a prince who had a spell cast on him.
While at the castle, Belle begins to care about
the beast. Gaston gets jealous and leads a mob
to kill the beast as an act of revenge.
Thankfully, Belle, the beast, and the servants
fight the mob and prevail. Belle falls in love
with the beast and he falls in love with Belle.
This love breaks the spell, and everyone lives
happily ever after. In the end, because Belle
didnt judge the beast, she falls in love with
him based on who he is as a person.
