What will my day look like?

• You will take 5 core classes
• English
• Reading
• Science
• Math
• World Geography
• 2 periods will be Exploratory Classes
• 1 Period will be Guided Study/Band/Orchestra or
  Chorus.

MATH

• If you are taking Math 6 this year you will take
  Math 7 during 7th grade.
• If you are taking Challenge Math 6 this year you
  will take Pre-Algebra during 7th grade.
• If you are taking Pre-Algebra this year you will
  take Algebra during 7th grade.

• Art
• Computer Applications
• Sewing
• General Music
• Health
• Industrial Technology
• P.E.
• World Language (French, German, Spanish)

EXPLORATORY CLASSESPhysical Education

• Physical Education will happen on an A/B rotating
  schedule with your World Language Class
• For Example
• World Language on A days
• PE on B days

EXPLORATORY CLASSESWorld Language

• Students will pick ONE World Language class to
  study during both 7th and 8th grade.
• You must take the same World Language
• during BOTH years.
• You cannot switch a different World Language
  after 7th grade.

MUSIC OPTIONS

• During Guided Study, you have the following Music
  Options
• Band (5 days a week)
• Orchestra (5 days a week)
• Chorus (3 days a week)
• You may sign up for a maximum of two.

Selecting Electives.

• During March 24th and 25th, Mr. Grandgenett will
  speak to your 6th grade team and walk you through
  the online survey that allows you to request your
  world language and music electives.
• This survey needs to be completed by April 11th.
