Instructions for using this template.
  • Remember this is Jeopardy, so where I have
written Answer this is the prompt the students
will see, and where I have Question should be
    the students response.
  • To enter your questions and answers, click once
on the text on the slide, then highlight and just
type over whats there to replace it. If you hit
Delete or Backspace, it sometimes makes the text
    box disappear.
  • When clicking on the slide to move to the next
appropriate slide, be sure you see the hand, not
the arrow. (If you put your cursor over a text
box, it will be an arrow and WILL NOT take you to
    the right location.)

combine oxygen with another substance
6
What is Oxidation?
7
The amount of mass in a specific volume. (A
physical property)
8
What is Density?
9
capable of being bent and pounded into various
shapes
10
What is Malleable?
11
is the pull that all matter exerts on other
matter.
12
What is Gravity?
13
When forces are unbalanced, there acceleration
which includes speeding up, slowing down, or
changing direction.
14
What is Unbalanced Force?
15
a star's brightness or magnitude
16
What is Luminosity?
17
When the greenhouse gases get too thick, the
temperatures on earth go up and result in melting
glaciers and polar icecaps. This will result in
massive flooding.
18
What is Global Warming?
19
When too much nitrogen is used for fertilization
and the excess runs off and enters water
ecosystems, the algae multiplies too quickly and
turn the pond thick green and blocks sunlight.
20
What is Algal Bloom?
21
a response of an organism to a given change,
such as temperature or amount of light
22
What is Feedback Mechanism?
23
The ability or tendency of an organism or cell to
maintain a stable internal environment when its
external environment is changing.
24
What is Homeostasis?
25
This form of the gene would be masked or covered
by the dominant form. The only way a recessive
trait is expressed is when there is not a
dominant allele present.
26
What is Recessive?
27
large areas of land whose rivers and streams will
drain into the same large body of water
28
What is Watershed?
29
Water soaking into the ground through soil and
rock
30
What is Percolation?
31
plates are coming together
32
What is Convergent?
33
breaking of rocks into smaller pieces
34
What is Weathering?
35
A large explosion began the universe, and it is
still expanding today.
36
What is Big Bang Theory?
37
A force that resists motion between two surfaces
that are touching. This includes air resistance.
38
What is Friction?
39
A push or pull on an object.
40
What is Force?
41
The tendency of an object to resist motion or
change in motion. The Bigger they are the
Harder they fall is a simple way of expressing
this.
42
What is Inertia?
43
A physical property of matter which is the
quality of shining by reflecting light
44
What is Luster?
45
The Distance traveled in a certain time period
(rate of motion).
46
What is Speed?
47
A chemical property of matter which measures a
tendency of a substance to undergo changes to
form a new substance.
48
What is Reactivity?
49
Two or more elements that are combined
chemically.
50
What is Compound?
51
electrons in the outer shell of the atom
52
What is Valence Electrons?
53
Formation of a solid that forms in a chemical
reaction
54
What is Precipitant?
55
Final Jeopardy
Make your wager
56
an objects change in motion. It is different in
physics because acceleration includes speeding
up, slowing down, or changing direction.
57
What is Acceleration?
