Sharks in general

• Sharks have been around on earth for as many of
  400 million years

Shark Teeth

• Sharks have the most powerful jaws on the planet.
• A shark bites with its lower jaw first then with
  its upper jaw.
• Sharks can never run out of teeth.
• A shark may grow and use over 20,000 teeth in
  their lifetime

Dinner Time!

• Normal sharks like to hunt and eat alone.
• Great white sharks rarely partner in feeding
  frenzies.
• A Sharks diet consists of fish and sea mammals

Gentle Giants

• Basking Whales, Whale Sharks, and Megamouth are
  gentle giants
• This means that they only eat plankton.

Shark Babies

• Shark babies are called pups
• Some pups are born from eggs and some are born
  alive.
• Pup sharks grow inside of the mother. When born
  they appear half grown like little children.

Super Senses

• 2/3 of the shark brain is used for its smell.
• The eyes are similar to cats.
• Sharks have extremely sensitive hearing.
• Sharks can also feel an electrical sense from its
  prey.
