LEGISLATIVE FRAMEWORK
  • The Council was established in terms of
  • section 37(2) of the Labour Relations Act
  • The Council shall operate and be guided by
  • The Promotion of Administrative Justice Act and
  • The Public Finance Management Act

FUNDING OF THE ELRC
  • There are approximately 350 000 educators
  • within the scope of the ELRC.
  • The ELRC is funded through LEVIES paid by
  • educators equal contributions made by the
  • Departments of Education.
