Diagnose disease by measuring chemicals and cells
in blood, sputum, bone marrow, and urine.
Perform autopsies and analyze tissues taken from
patients during surgery or by biopsy.

pathologist?
Four year college degree.
Four years of medical school
3-5 years residency training program in general
pathology.
One year specialty training program in forensic
pathology at a medical examiner's or coroner's
office
