Helicopter Danger Areas

• When the helicopter is running certain areas
  should be avoided. These areas are
• Main rotor-may dip at slowing speeds
• Exposed drive shafts
• Skids if not stable on the ground
• And, last but not least,
• The TAIL ROTOR
• It may be nearly invisible when turning

• Approach and leave in a crouched position.
• The pitch of the blades may change at any time
• Always approach when the pilot give the signal.

• Never walk up slope from a helicopter.

• Never approach from the rear of a helicopter.
• Make sure the pilot is aware of you.
• Be alert to the surrounding area stay in sight of
  the pilot of crew and watch for signals..

• Use caution when approaching and leaving
  aircraft.
