• The Rainforest has a lot of animals. Even some
  animals that we have not discovered yet.
• The forest floor has not many plants because the
  forest floor only gets 2 of sunlight. Thats why
  every time you see the rainforest it always have
  tall trees.

Information about the Understory

• It is a dark place
• It has many animals
• It is the second from the bottom layer
• It does not get much light
• Many trees and vines
• Many different insects
• If a small tree falls down, small trees and ferns
  will grow out of it.

Important Facts about the Canopy

• The canopy is made of the tops of the trees, most
  people describe it as a roof over the layers
  below it.
• Some animals that live in the rainforest are
  three toed sloths, red-eyed tree frogs, clouded
  leopards, and boa constrictors.
• A lot of sunlight reaches this layer because it
  is at the top and the only layer above it is the
  emergent layer.
• Without the canopy the world would run out of
  oxygen because there are many, leaves and vines.
• The canopy is very important.

• Highest elevating level in the Rainforest
• The Animals in our level are bats, monkeys,
  eagles, snakes, and butterflies
• It looks like the top of the trees
• The weather is always wet, sunny, and warm
• Located on the equator

Save the Rainforest

• Rainforest once covered 14 of Earths surface,
  now it covers only 6 and experts think that the
  last remaining Rainforests could be consumed in
  less than 40 years.
•   One and one-half acres of rainforest are lost
  every second with tragic.
•   Nearly half of the world's species of plants
  and animals will be destroyed or severely
  threatened over the next quarter century due to
  rainforest destruction.
