Solihull has a population of approximately
200,000, and is southeast of Birmingham bordering
Coventry and Warwickshire

• 2008 CPA rating of 3 stars improving
• well
• High performing in many areas
• Including -
• customer satisfaction (place survey),
• educational attainment success
• road casualty reduction
• of household waste taken to landfill

The Borough of Solihull

• High variation between the most
• affluent and most deprived areas
• 3 of the wards in the North of the Borough are in
  the top 10 most deprived wards in England
• We therefore place strong emphasis on Closing the
  Gap of Inequality with investment in the more
  deprived wards in the north of the Borough a
  priority and spearheaded by our ambitious
  regeneration programme.
