Altech History
1986 - After recognizing a need for European
electronic components in American industry, Heinz
W. Meise, originally from Germany, founded Altech
Corporation. 1993 - Rapid growth calls for Altech
to open its corporate headquarters in rural
Flemington, N.J. where it sits on 5 acres and
employs 45 unique individuals. 1996 - With
continued growth Altech finds it necessary to
expand its headquarters to 31,368 square
feet. 1996 - Altech is deeply saddened by the
death of its leader Heinz W. Meise. In spite of
the tragedy, Altech continues to grow and prove
its strength with the guidance of Heinzs son
Mario.
