1
Things You Can Learn About the Anaconda
  • By Cade Tuttle

2
Introductory Statement
  • Over the past few weeks I have been researching
the anaconda. I have been researching what it
looks like, where it lives, what it eats, its
enemies, and how it protects itself.

3
Physical Description
4
Habitat
  • Do you know where the anaconda lives? It can
live in swamps, marshes, and slow moving rivers.
The anaconda can be found in South America. The
anaconda can survive here because of its nostrils
on top of its snout so it can breathe while its
    in the water.

5
Defense
  • Do you know how the anaconda protects itself?
One way the anaconda protects itself is by
having a bad smell. Predators do not like it.
Another way the anaconda protects itself is by
hissing to scare its predator. Finally, the
anaconda protects itself by puffing itself up.
    This scares its predator away.

6
Prey
  • Gulp Gulp Gulp. The anaconda eats reptiles. The
anaconda eats deer, chickens, dogs, birds and
other reptiles. The young anaconda eats fish and
frogs. The anaconda traps its food by wrapping
its body around its prey. The prey dies because
    it cant breathe.

7
Predators
  • Did you know that the anaconda has no natural
enemies? The anaconda has no natural enemies but
    people.

8
Interesting fact
  • Now I am going to tell you some interesting facts
about the anaconda. Snakes can stick their
tongue out without opening their mouth.
Anacondas are one of the biggest snakes in the
world. Anacondas can only live until ten years
    old.

9
Closing Statement
  • In closing I hope you learned a lot about the
anacondas physical description, habitat, what it
eats, how it defends its self, and what its
    predators are.
