• Brake System
• The brake system is the only hydraulically
  activated system on the PA-32-300.
• The Brakes are operated by toe pedals attached to
  the left rudder pedals or by a hand lever and
  master cylinder located below and behind the left
  center of the instrument sub-panel.
• Hydraulic cylinders are located above each pedal
  and adjacent to the hand lever.
• The brake fluid reservoir is on the top left
  front of the fire wall.

• The fuel system consists of two aluminum tanks
  contained in the inboard leading edge section of
  the wings plus two fiberglass tanks, one located
  in each wing tip.
• Main Tank Capacity 25 U.S. gallons
• Tip Tank Capacity 17 U.S. gallons
• Fuel Grade 100 LL Avgas

• Fuel is taken from each tank through a screen
  located in the tank outlet fitting and onto a
  combination fuel selector valve and strainer
  located under the floor panel under the middle
  seats.

• The fuel selector valve is controlled remotely by
  a selector lever located on the sloping face of
  the control tunnel.
• The strainer portion of the valve is operated by
  a lever located on the right front side of the
  spar cover under the forward end of the right
  middle seat.
• From the selector valve, fuel is drawn through
  the electric fuel pump(s) located in the area
  under the middle seats, through the engine driven
  pump and onto the injector.

• Four electric fuel quantity gauges are mounted in
  the instrument cluster located on the right side
  of the instrument panel.
• Each gauge is connected to a sender unit
  installed in the fuel tanks.

• The air conditioning system is a re-circulating,
  independent air system.
• Major components include
• Evaporator
• Condenser
• Compressor
• Blower
• Switches
• Temperature Controls
• Evaporator, located behind the rear baggage
  compartment, cools the air.

• Air Conditioning
• Condenser
• Mounted on a retractable scoop on the bottom of
  the fuselage.
• The scoop extends when the system is ON and
  retracts flush to the fuselage when the system is
  OFF.
• Compressor
• Mounted on the forward right underside of the
  engine.
• Electric clutch automatically engages or
  disengages the compressor to the belt drive
  system.

• Air Conditioning
• Controls mounted on right side of instrument
  panel.
• Fan can be operated independently of A/C, but
  must be ON for A/C operation.
• Cooling air should be felt within one minute
  after A/C is turned ON.
• Condenser door light is located to the right of
  the engine instrument cluster. Light illuminates
  when the door is open and is off when door is
  closed.

• Air Conditioning
• Whenever the throttle is in the full forward
  position a micro-switch disengages the compressor
  and retracts scoop allowing for maximum power and
  rate of climb. When the throttle is retarded
  approx ¼ from full forward, the clutch with
  engage, scoop extend, and system will again
  supply cool air.
• Recommended to turn off A/C prior to takeoff.
• Always remember to shutoff A/C and ensure scoop
  is fully retracted prior to engine shutdown.

• Air Conditioning
• (heating and ventilating system)
• Heat for the cabin interior and defroster comes
  from a heater muff attached to the exhaust
  system. Controls are located on the lower right
  side of the instrument panel.
• Fresh air inlets are located in the leading edge
  of each wing and in the fin.
• Two adjustable outlets are located on each side
  of the cabin (forward and aft of front seat near
  floor)
• Adjustable outlets also on cabin ceiling above
  each seat.
