• Define task group goals Establish standardized
  evaluation of material chemistry changes.
• Define Similar in the context and language of
  the fire regulations, i.e., what exactly
  (mathematically) is a minor change and at what
  level (scale) is it measured?
• Define scale that demonstrates similarity
• Material (lt 1 gram sample)
• MCC or other material/chemical analysis method
  like oxygen bomb calorimetry?
• Component (10 -100 gram sample)
• Policy Statement Bonded Detail approach (material
  by itself) using cert test methods
• Configuration (kilogram samples)
• Cross-sectional approach (part level, standard
  configs, e.g. Policy Statement Bonded Joints
  approach
• OSU or new fire test method for larger samples?
• List of different types of industry wide material
  changes (Tedlar, adhesives, tapes, films, paints,
  ) and define approach.
• ID different categories . Each could use a
  different approaches. Simple material
  constructions versus complicated build-ups.
• Complicated materials buildups (application) can
  a simple material comparison approach viable? If
  not, could fallback on a reduced config test
  matrix (similar to list of standard
  constructions) based on uses.
