5Asahi/America Physical Properties
Physical Properties
- UV Excellent UV resistance in all materials.
After 10 years exposure, virtually no decrease in
burst pressure a 5 increase in tensile
strength. - Abrasion Superior abrasion resistance compared
to metal valves due to the inherent properties of
plastics smooth surfaces and better absorption
of impact energy. - Impact Resistance Superior impact resistance
compared to competitors plastic valves . Result
of body mass (wall thickness) and little or no
voids created in the molding process.
6Asahi/America Quality Design
- All valves have a minimum working pressure safety
factor of 4 to 1. - Average hydrostatic burst pressure is 2000 psi.
- All valves are tested after manufacturing.
All valves (except dampers) meet or exceed Class
VI Shutoff. All valves have traceability as each
is labeled with a manufacturers number. All
valves can be hydrostatically tested 1.5 x max.
working pressure for 10 minutes per ASME B31.1.
