• Just approved by UN Statistical Commission
• ISIC Rev 4 based on international emphasis
• Serves as basis for country industrial
  classification (at least at 2-digit category)

• Revised to adapt to the groupings which are more
  strategic to ASEAN Industries
• Common up to 3- digit
• Countries to expand depending upon their industry
  focus and structur

Expectation from AMC

• Countries to follow ACIC up to 3-digit for
  reporting purposes to ASEAN Secretariat
• Countries may wish to develop 4 to 5 digit
  depending on their needs but based on ISIC rev 4

• Singapore completed based on ISIC rev 4
• Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam currently
  developing the 4 digit based on ACIC and ISIC rev
  4
• Brunei, Cambodia, Lao PDR planning to develop 4
  digit categories based on ACIC and ISIC rev 4
• Indonesia just completed SIC based on ISIC rev 3,
  will make correspondence table to ACIC and ISIC
  rev 4
