Background
  • Created in 1996 for the development of an
    international standard for information exchange.
  • At the end of 1996 EDIFACT was chosen as the
    international standard to be used in message
    exchange.
  • From 1997 to 2005 some 23 UN/EDIFACT message
    subsets were published in 3 major releases
  • In 2006 work on the development of a new release
    incorporating the modeling and XML syntax was
    initiated.
  • In 2007 version 4 of the Edig_at_s message set was
    approved. This version proposes the Edig_at_s
    messages in the UN/EDIFACT syntax and the XML
    syntax.

European Association for the Streamlining of
Energy Exchange- gas
  • Created in March 2002 at initiative of European
    Gas Regulatory Forum (Madrid Forum)
  • Mission To develop and promote common practices
    to simplify and streamline business processes
    between the stakeholders that will lead to an
    efficient and effective European Gas Market
  • Edig_at_s integrated into EASEE-gas as a subgroup
    of the Message Workflow Design WG.

    used in the gas industry in Europe
  • They are recommended by EASEE-gas
