not do our job, which is reading them carefully.
As consumers, we must
- Know what kind of document were reading.
- Understand the purpose of the document.
- Evaluate any claims made in the document.

When you buy something, you become a consumer of
that product.
Before and after your purchase, you should rely
on various consumer documents for information.
7An ADVERTISEMENT shows a consumer what is
available, how much that product costs, and when
and where that product is available.
8A SCHEDULE indicates what time events will occur,
what times services are available.

service. It is a document that explains what is
expected of you as a consumer and what is
expected of whomever is selling you a product or
a service.

that provides directions for assembling and using
a product.
