Beiser p.249
16Relative Humidity
- Expresses the amount of moisture in air compared
to maximum possible amount of moisture in air - If a sample of air could hold 100 units of water
and only has 63, then the RH 63/100 63.

17Cloud Types
Cumulus
Stratus
Cirrus
Beiser p.253
18Cloud Heights
- Low Clouds cumulus, fractocumulus,
stratocumulus, stratus, fog, and fractostratus
clouds. Found near the surface to about 6,500
feet. - Middle Clouds altocumulus, and altostratus
clouds. Lenticular clouds are often typically
included this family. Found around 6,500 to
23,000 feet. - High Clouds cirrus, cirrocumulus, and
cirrostratus. Found around 16,500 to 45,000 feet.
- Vertically Advanced Clouds nimbostratus,
towering cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds. The
bases of these vertically advanced clouds range
from 1,000 feet (or lower) to a towering 10,000
feet or higher.
