Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very
    heavy.
  • 38Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding
sorrowful, even unto death tarry ye here, and
    watch with me.
  • 39And he went a little farther, and fell on his

not as I will, but as thou wilt.

  • 40And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth
them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye
not watch with me one hour?
  • 41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into
temptation the spirit indeed is willing, but the
    flesh is weak.
  •  42He went away again the second time, and
prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not
pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be
    done.
  • 43And he came and found them asleep again for
    their eyes were heavy.
  • 44And he left them, and went away again, and
prayed the third time, saying the same words.
  • 45Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto
them, Sleep on now, and take your rest behold,
the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is
betrayed into the hands of sinners.

  • 45Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over
all the land unto the ninth hour.

    forsaken me?

Mary Magdalene
  • John 2011-17
  • 11But Mary stood without at the sepulchre
weeping and as she wept, she stooped down, and
    looked into the sepulchre,
  • 12And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one
at the head, and the other at the feet, where the
    body of Jesus had lain.
  • 13And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou?
She saith unto them, Because they have taken away
my LORD, and I know not where they have laid him.
  • 14And when she had thus said, she turned herself
back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that
    it was Jesus.
  • 15Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou?
whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the
gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne
him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and
    I will take him away.
  • 16Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself,
and saith unto him, Rabboni which is to say,
    Master.
  • 17Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not for I am
not yet ascended to my Father but go to my
brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my
Father, and your Father and to my God, and your
    God.

Two Men from Emmaus
  • Luke 2413-20
  • 13And, behold, two of them went that same day to
a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem
    about threescore furlongs.
  • 14And they talked together of all these things
    which had happened.
  • 15And it came to pass, that, while they communed
together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near,
    and went with them.
  • 16But their eyes were holden that they should not
    know him.
  • 17And he said unto them, What manner of
communications are these that ye have one to
another, as ye walk, and are sad?
  • 18And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas,
answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger
in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which
are come to pass there in these days?
  • 19And he said unto them, What things? And they
said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth,
which was a prophet mighty in deed and word
before God and all the people
  • 20And how the chief priests and our rulers
delivered him to be condemned to death, and have
    crucified him.
