- Ezekiel is very hard book to understand apart
from the fact it is a book of prophesy. - The accounts are not chronologically arranged
- His visions are switching between Jerusalem and
Babylon - His period of ministry runs parallel with
Jeremiah although he came late atleast by 20
years - Siege and captivity was in three stages or 20
years and Ezekiel went captive among second lot
4During and in captivity
- Ezekiel was and married when invasion of Juda was
in progress. - But most of the time he was fasting and was a
demonstration to the people - When the city was in siege he had to leave the
home like a thief. - And just before the city fell his wife died and
he was dumb and told not to cry. - He was taken captive to a place called tel habib
in Babylon where he worked with slaves to dig a
canal connecting two rivers Tigris and Ephrates -

- Punishment comes to all even to God fearing
people - Why were the Jews punished?
- How long God was patient with them?
- What is idolatry?
- Do we find idolatry among believers?
- Why were they taken back to Babylon and not any
where elsein Jesus time why were they scattered
all over the world?

- Returned back because they returned to idolatry
