  • Standardised description of course and personnel
    data,
  • Students involvement,
  • Major cultural changes
  • Emphasis on learning instead of teaching,
  • Transition from the teacher-centred to the
    student-centred education.

20
Students Involvement
  • The purpose of students evaluation
  • to provide valid and reliable feedback to
    teaching staff,
  • to help make informed decisions about improving
    learning outcomes.

21
Assessment of Students
  • There are too many examination terms (8 or 9
    during academic year)
  • Students do not know precisely the criteria for
evaluation, stating that the overall process
    lacks transparency.
  • Continuous assessment - decrease in the number of
    examination terms
  • Improvement of the objectivity and transparency
    of the assessment.

22
Lessons learned (?!)
  • There is no free lunch!
  • Organizational issues...
  • Human factor no Fearless Change
  • No strong leadership
  • A la carbonara vs. A la bolognese
  • Bologna Deceleration a process...

23
To sumarise (off the record!)
  • Bologna/QA/Acreditation... serves
  • For marketing
  • Faculty politics
  • University politics
  • ...
  • Improvements in educational activities (???)

24
In other words
  • Difficult is done immediately, impossible takes a
    bit longer
