The modern buildings stand on the site of the
Royal Palace of Westminster, which was built by
Edward the Confessor in the 11th century. The
Palace was very badly damaged by fire in 1834
all that could be saved was Westminster Hall,
built in 1097-99 and rebuilt in 1394-99. The
present Houses of Parliament were built between
1840 and 1867 from designs by Sir Charles Barry
and Augustus Pugin.

Piccadilly Circus is a square in the central part
of London. Londons best-known theatres and

different languages.

Green-park is located between the Buckingham
Palace and Piccadilly Circus. Green-park is an
excellent place where it is possible to sit on a
grass, having substituted the person to the sun.
Once this park was private possession and a venue
of duels, but in 1826 it has been opened for

Going to marry once again, Henry VIII accused the
wife of far-fetched crimes and executed. Its
fifth wife was Ketrin Howard. In a lock court
yard there is the memorable tablet specifying a
place where the unfortunate woman already
sentenced to execution, has escaped from hands of
policemen and has rushed to chapel doors in which
the king was locked, what in tears to ask him
about mercy. Since then its phantom lives in the
lock.. Its phantom with shout is carried by on
Gallery of ghosts, reminding of that bottom in
1541.
