Plot The Sirens
  • Odysseus and his men must pass by an island where
    beautiful woman sing enchanting song
  • The song causes men to steer for the island and
    crash against the rocky coast where the Sirens
    kill them
  • Odysseus stops up the crews ears with beeswax
    and has them tie him to the mast of the ship to
    listen
  • As they pass by, he hears the Sirens song and
    begs to be untied, but his crew tie him more
    tightly to the mast (as instructed)

    sea

  • In their final breath they cry out to Odysseus
    who recounts this as the worst event of his
    journey
