Counsel for Adult Experimental Learning
  • At CAEL, the Council for Adult and Experiential
Learning, we deliver a comprehensive set of
Career and Educational Advising Services designed
to link employee learning to company goals,
developing your workforce knowledge while helping
to increase productivity, boost morale, and
    improve recruitment and retention efforts.
  • CAEL is a non-profit organization committed to
providing adults with better access to education
and training, all of which help union members
lead happy, successful and fulfilling lives.

4
CAEL
  • How CAEL Career and Education Advising Works
  • CAEL works with the company to communicate the
availability of career and education advising,
either through group meetings, payroll flyers or
    career fairs.
  • Through on-site meetings, one-on-one phone calls
or via the internet, employees discuss their
interests and goals with one of nearly 18
professional CAEL career and education advisors
    located nationwide.
  • Advisors then work with employees to develop
career or educational plans to achieve their
goals, administer skill or interest assessments,
and/or assist employees to document their prior
    learning for possible college credit.
  • CAEL professional advisors can then conduct
follow-up meetings as necessary to ensure
employees stay on track with their outlined
    goals.

5
CAEL
  • VZ TAP-
  • CAEL career and education advising works best
when paired with an existing company tuition
assistance or training program by either reducing
overall costs or increasing participation in the
program. Tuition assistance funds, such as those
managed for the company through CAEL's Tuition
Assistance Management Service (TAMS), can be used
to pay for career and education advising.
