Northside Elementary

• We made this book to help you learn about our
  school. We think you will enjoy being a student
  at Northside! We all work hard every day to be
  confident leaders.

We are Northside Koalas!

• We are all Northside Koalas. That means we make
  good choices and show good character at school.
  We earn different rewards in our classrooms for
  good behavior and get awards at assemblies. We
  work everyday on our 7 Habits and how we can be
  good leaders.

• We have lots of nice people at our school. Lets
  meet them!

Our Principal

• This is Mrs. Paden. She is our Principal. She is
  the leader of our school. She will help to make
  sure our school is safe.

Our Assistant Principal

• This is Mrs. Fox. She is our Assistant
  Principal. Mrs. Fox makes sure all of the boys
  and girls at Northside Elementary make good
  choices and are kind to each other.

Our Counselor

• This is Mrs. Macken. She is our Counselor. Mrs.
  Macken teaches Kindergarten students about good
  character and greets students every morning.
  Mrs. Macken will also work with groups of
  students and help us to be good friends and
  strong leaders.

Our Nurse

• This is Nurse Ann. She will help you if you feel
  sick. Nurse Ann makes sure all of us are making
  healthy choices. She is a great nurse!

Our Secretaries

• We have 3 different secretaries. They are Mrs.
  Welch, Mrs. Myers, Mrs. Nicholson. They are very
  nice. They answer the phones, greet visitors,
  and help students and teachers.

Our Art Teacher

• This is Ms. Gambill. She is your art teacher.
  In art you get to paint and draw! You will make
  creative things with Ms. Gambill!

Our Media Specialist

• This is Mrs. Efurd. She is our Media Specialist
  at Northside. You will read books with Mrs.
  Efurd. You will get to check out books and take
  them home, too!

Our PE Teacher

• This is Mr. Burnett. He is our P.E. teacher. PE
  is so much fun! Mr. Burnett has fun games to
  play. We even have a rock wall in our PE gym!

Our Discovery Teachers

• We have 3 different Discovery teachers. They are
  Mikayla Newton, Stephanie Harper, and Tena
  Reichman. They take turns teaching us on
  Wednesday mornings. We learn how to use our
  imagination.

Our Music Teacher

• This is Ms. Davis. She is our music teacher. We
  learn songs and play instruments in music! She
  teaches us songs on how to be a great leader.

Our Computer Teacher

• This is Mrs. Eshnaur. She is our computer lab
  teacher. We love using the computers at
  Northside. She helps us to learn how to use the
  computers and teaches us about literacy and math
  concepts.

Our Koala Camp Teachers

• These are our Koala Camp teachers. Mrs. Parker
  is our Reading Specialist and ESOL teacher! She
  works with Ms. Daniel and the classroom teacher
  to help students learn to read and write.

Our Reading Math Intervention Teachers

• This is Mrs. Knudsen and Ms. Avalos. They are
  wonderful support. They come into classrooms to
  help students with math, literacy, and writing
  skills.

Our Resource Teachers Team

• This is our special education team. Mrs. K and
  Mrs. Holland work with Ms. Dennis, Mrs. Toni,
  Mrs. Vicki, Mrs. Snow, and Mrs. Cook to help
  students learn to be better readers, writers, and
  problem solvers.

Our Speech and Language Teachers

• This is Mrs. Brewer and Mrs. Budder. They are
  our speech teachers. Kids love the learning
  activities and games they teach them. They help
  students to say sounds correctly.

Our Custodian

• This is Ms. Rocky. She is our custodian. She
  works very hard to keep our school clean and
  safe. We always say thank you to her for her
  hard work.

Physical Activity Time

• We love PAT time! Our playground is lots of fun.
  The spider web is exciting to climb. We have
  plenty of room to run and play! The teachers
  make sure that we follow the rules and stay safe
  on the playground. Mr. Burnett provides physical
  fitness games for us.

Character Assemblies

• We have assemblies every month. We sing songs
  and fun activities that teach us about good
  character and how we can be strong leaders.

Our Cafeteria

• The cafeteria ladies work very hard to prepare
  our food. The food is very delicious. We are
  always kind and say thank you when we get our
  trays.
