Genesis 121-3

• Now the LORD had said to
  Abram Get out of your country, From your family
  And from your father's house, To a land that I
  will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation
  I will bless you And make your name great And
  you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who
  bless you, And I will curse him who curses you
  And in you all the families of the earth shall be
  blessed.

Genesis 125 156

• (125), Then Abram took Sarai
  his wife and Lot his brother's son, and all
  their possessions that they had gathered, and the
  people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they
  departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they
  came to the land of Canaan.
• (156), And he believed in the LORD, and He
  accounted it to him for righteousness.

Genesis 121 177-8

• Now the LORD had said to Abram
  Get out of your country, From your family And
  from your father's house, To a land that I will
  show you.
• (177-8), (25 years later), And I will establish
  My covenant between Me and you and your
  descendants after you in their generations, for
  an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and
  your descendants after you. 8 Also I give to you
  and your descendants after you the land in which
  you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an
  everlasting possession and I will be their God."

Genesis 125-7

• Then Abram took Sarai his wife
  and Lot his brother's son, and all their
  possessions that they had gathered, and the
  people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they
  departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they
  came to the land of Canaan. 6 Abram passed
  through the land to the place of Shechem, as far
  as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the
  Canaanites were then in the land. 7 Then the LORD
  appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants
  I will give this land." And there he built an
  altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.

• So the LORD gave to Israel all
  the land of which He had sworn to give to
  their fathers, and they took possession of it and
  dwelt in it. 44 The LORD gave them rest all
  around, according to all that He had sworn to
  their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies
  stood against them the LORD delivered all their
  enemies into their hand. 45 Not a word failed of
  any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the

Exodus 17-10

• Now to Abraham and his Seed
  were the promises made. He does not say, "And to
  seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your
  Seed," who is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the
  law, which was four hundred and thirty years
  later, cannot annul the covenant that was
  confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should
  make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the
  inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of
  promise but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

  His own special people, that you may proclaim the
  praises of Him who called you out of darkness
  into His marvelous light 10 who once were not a
  people but are now the people of God, who had not
  obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

• For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly,
  nor is circumcision that which is outward in the
  flesh 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly
  and circumcision is that of the heart, in the
  Spirit, not in the letter whose praise is not

  fulfilled!
