4What is Silver Bear NYLT ?
- Its an intense, 6-day, outdoor leadership
training experience for youth leaders. - Its principle function is to help Scoutmasters by
training their top boy leaders in the skills of
leadership. - It utilizes The new National BSA Training Format
for Leadership Development - It focuses on the Aims of Scouting
- Participating Citizenship
- Growth in Moral Strength and Character
- Development in Physical, Mental and Emotional
Fitness
5The Goals of Silver Bear NYLT
- To give participants the confidence and knowledge
to run the Troop program. - Through activities, presentations, challenges,
discussions and audio-visual support, NYLT
participants will be engaged in a unified
approach to leadership that will give them the
skills and confidence to lead well. - To give participants the opportunity to share
ideas and experiences with Scouts from other
Troops. - To create an atmosphere where Scouts will
experience Scouting at its best. - To enhance the relationship between the
participant and his Scoutmaster. - To have FUN.
