2Brief History of Our Relationship With NASVH
- The Senior Crimestoppers program began in 2000
and is administered by the Senior Housing Crime
Prevention Foundation, a 501(c) 3 charitable
foundation. - In October of 2008 in conjunction with NASVH, we
launched a national initiative to solicit funding
(through CRA loans/investments) to provide our
programs to all Veterans homes. - Since then, we present this as an opportunity in
every bank meeting we attend.
3National Veterans Initiative Objective
To contact every bank in the United States to
help protect the vulnerable, elderly Veterans
who bravely gave so much to preserve our freedom.
4How Are We Doing That?

- 69 banks participating in the Veterans Initiative
- 78 Veterans homes actively involved
- 42 have bank funding in place
- 36 covered free of charge by SHCPF
- 17,000 Veterans covered by the Senior
Crimestoppers program - Programs available to ALL Veterans homes
regardless of bank participation
6How the SHCPF Gets Its Funding
- Provide opportunities for banks to get federally
mandated CRA credit in areas of - Loan credit
- Investment Credit
- Service Credit
- Use portion of the proceeds from loans and
investments to provide programs free of charge to
nursing homes, HUD properities and state Veterans
homes.

To lead in the delivery of crime prevention
services and systems to ensure that a zero
tolerance to crime atmosphere exists and is
vigilantly maintained for the residents, staff,
management, and visitors in our nations
