Title: Analysis of key PCT initiatives

1
Analysis of key PCT initiatives
  • Lambeth
  • Estates and other pathway redesign
  • Pathway redesign reflects community service
    savings across the period.
  • There are no other corporate savings excluding
    management cost savings.
  • Lewisham
  • Estates and other
  • In addition to management costs, the PCT plans to
incorporate further savings in corporate areas.
These are expected to be finalised for the
    December submission.
  • The descriptions for the estates savings are
  • Rationalisation of estate usage to reduce
expenditure on a number of sites including
    utilities, leases etc.
  • Demolition then disposal of Wardalls Grove,
closure of Cantilever House and relocation of the
    remaining PCT corporate functions.
  • Wardalls Grove (value approx 5 million land) was
demolished earlier this financial year yielding
savings in rates, security costs, etc. Disposal
will reduce capital charges. Notice has been
given on the Cantilever House, the current PCT
headquarters (lease to finish August 2011)
yielding part year savings 2011/12 and full year
    from 2012/13.
  • LSL
  • Urgent care
  • These figures have been reduced but currently,
urgent care savings are believed to be high at
the Sector as they represent the full menu. In
overall terms there is a surplus across all PCTs
in the model so that there is genuine choice as
the Sector moves forward with the selection of
initiatives from the menu of service
    opportunities
  • Southwark
  • Estates and other The "Balance to Operating
Plan" adjustment is required to generate the
2010/11 surplus of 1.295m. It is the sum of
other adjustments needed to reconcile 2010/11
model outputs vs. 2010/11 operating plan.
