BACKGROUND
  • Required by National Strategy Framework with the
    B-BBEE Act as an enabling instrument.
  • Closely aligned to all Economic Empowerment
    related National Framework.
  • However addresses Provincial specificities and
    supports provincial economic development
    strategies.
  • Necessary for addressing KZN socio-economic
    challenges .

VISION
  • A de-racialized provincial economy in whose
  • mainstream a critical mass of Black people
  • participate meaningfully, in terms of control and
  • ownership of private sector enterprises, and hold
  • operational, professional, management, and
  • executive positions in organizations of both the
  • private and public sectors, in proportion to
    their
  • demographic weight.

  • Substantial increase in the number of Black
    people who have ownership and control of existing
    and new enterprises, particularly in the
    provincial governments priority sectors.
