• Anytime you take the Square Root of a variable
  when solving an equation you get the positive and
  negative answer

• We want to take the square root of both sides of
  the equation
• Get the squared term on the left
• Get the number on the right
• Remember when you take the square root you get
  two answers (positive and negative)
