• Sexual harassment is an equal opportunity issue.

Is it harassment?

• If a girl says she is being sexually harassed and
  the boy says he is only fooling, then its not
  sexual harassment.

• Sexual harassment is defined from the targets
  perspective, not the harassers.
• Consensus between the target and perpetrator is
  unnecessary in determining the nature of the
  behavior.

  locker room about a new girl in their Physical
  Education class.

  harassment is considered to be sexual harassment.

  harassment.

What if someone is harassing you?

• Tell the harasser to STOP the behavior that you
  dont like.
• Make sure that your body language and tone of
  voice show that you MEAN what you say.

What to do 2!

• Explain that you will tell someone in authority
  (a teacher, counselor, principal, parent) if the
  harassment does not stop.
• Keep a detailed written record of the harassment.

What to do 3!Write a letter to the harasser.

• Describe the behaviors you consider sexual
  harassment,
• how they make you feel and that you want it to
  stop.
• Have an adult deliver the letter.

What do I do if I see someone being harassed?

• DONT laugh or encourage the harasser.
• DONT let your silence look like approval.
• SAY that you dont think its funny
• TELL the harasser to stop.
• SAY something supportive to the person being
  harassed.

• Loss of self-confidence
• Lower grades
• Withdrawal from friends
