Goal Status Symbol DefinitionIF THE MEASUREMENT
TOOL IS IN PLACE

• For deadline-based goals, indicates hitting
  all its milestones ("on plan") and therefore
  likely to achieve the Whole Goal on time.
• For a goal requiring ongoing, sustained
  performance, indicates performance is within
  acceptable range (as defined in the goal).
• For deadline-based goals, indicates NOT
  hitting all its milestones (not on plan"), but
  course corrections can be made such the goal can
  still be achieved on time.
• For a goal requiring ongoing, sustained
  performance, indicates performance has dropped
  below the acceptable range, but effective course
  corrections have been identified and are quite at
  hand.
• For deadline-based goals, indicates NOT
  hitting all its milestones (not on plan") and
  significant risks will probably prevent goal from
  being achieved on time.
• For a goal requiring ongoing, sustained
  performance, indicates performance has dropped
  below the acceptable range and necessary
  effective course corrections are either not
  identified or not available.
