• All matter is composed of tiny particles called
  atoms.
• An atom cannot be created, divided, destroyed or
  converted to any other type of atom (nuclear
  reactions?). Law of conservation of matter and
  energy.
• Atoms of a particular element have identical
  properties (Isotope?)
• Atoms of different elements have different
  properties.
• Atoms of different elements combine in
  whole-number ratios to produce compounds.Law of
  constant composition.
• Chemical reaction/change involves
  joining/combining, separating or rearranging of
  atoms.
