Lessons Learned
  • On-board architecture too complex
  • Integration of disparate technologies is the most
    difficult
  • Toughbook 18 on-board computer too big/not
    necessary
  • Black box data collection should be adequate
  • Need simpler crew display
  • SATCOM is a bridge too far at this time
  • Need fewer, smaller, more rugged antennas
  • Need a two prong approach
  • Proven technology on project vehicles
  • Cutting edge and developmental technology on a
    separate set of vehicles
