Science fiction is often about things we believe
may be possible in the far future.

Who is the father of science fiction?
Jules Verne ?????

Jules Verne(1828-1905), a French writer, called
the Father of modern science fiction. His
father was a successful lawyer. His uncle
introduced him into literary circles and he
started to publish plays. Vernes one-act comedy
the Broken straws was performed in Paris when he
was 22. In 1854 he wrote his first science
fiction tale. He wrote 66 stories in total all
his life.
