• Slide two What the pilgrim appears to be what
  he/she is on the surface. Attach three quotes
  that convey the appearance of this character to a
  picture that portrays what the pilgrim appears to
  be.
• Slide three What the pilgrim actually is for
  real. Pay close attention to Chaucers irony and
  determine his attitude toward the pilgrim. What
  is hidden beneath the surface of this character?
