• Astronomers expect a lone star to remain fixed in
  space.
• If a planet is near a star, it will pull on that
  star.
• As the planet orbits, it tugs that star a small
  amount.

The Picture

• In 2004, Astronomers in England took the first
  picture of a planet outside our solar system.
• Planets do not make their own light, so they are
  nearly impossible to see if they are far away.
