2The Subjunctive Tense
- The subjunctive tense is used to express either a
direct or an indirect command. - 2. The subjunctive tense is also needed when a
sentence has an expression of emotion, doubt or

- The stem is the yoform from the present
indicative without the o. - ie...hablar - hablo

- Watch out for orthographic stem changes in the
subjunctive!
