  • He and I were ready to dine when the waiter
    brought the baked porcupine to the table.
  • Brigitte and they eat prunes because they hate to
    spit pits.
  • Uncle Otto sold his dry cleaning shop after he

Remember Direct objects are nouns or pronouns
that come after action verbs.
  • A direct object answers the question whom? or
    what? after the verb.
  • Jeeves wrestles octopi.
  • Mrs. Street throws her computer after trying to
    write a powerpoint presentation.

    weiner dogs.
  • Mrs. Street nearly hit him with the hurled Dell

  • The squirrel bit her when she mocked him for

    Remember indirect objects answer the questions
    for whom? or to whom? about the direct object.
    Dont forget that indirect objects are nouns or
    pronouns that come between the verb and the
    direct object.

    dessert.
  • Ziggy gave Mimi and me noogies.

  • The object of the preposition is the noun or
    pronoun that follows a preposition.
  • A tick is on your lip.
  • The person with whom Godfrey was hobnobbing has a
    little glob of slobber running down his chin.

    he is a parakeet.
