• Harry Preuss, MD, a professor of physiology and
  biophysics at Georgetown University found that
  oregano oil (in particular, the chemical
  component carvacrol) works as well as antibiotics
  on staphylococcus.
• In a test tube assay, oregano oil combined with

  penicillin and other antibiotics.
