- Soldiers may use FTA to receive ONE degree/
credential from EACH of the following levels. - - Certificate (technical and licensure)

- - Baccalaureate (145 Semester hrs max)
- Masters or First Professional Degree
- (45 Semester hrs max)
- (1 undergrad certificate program
- hrs used will be against maximum months)
5Federal Tuition Assistance ELIGIBLITY
- Deadline to apply for TA is prior to the first
day of class. - Must be satisfactory, drilling participant in
INNG. - Must update grades within 45 days after class
(unofficial transcriptemail or fax
317-964-7028). - Enlisted must remain in INNG up to last day of
FTA-funded courses. - Officers have a Reserve Duty Service Obligation
- RDSOan obligation of four years of Reserve Duty
Service from the last day of FTA-funded courses. - Must maintain a 2.0 GPA for FTA-funded classes.

- Federal Tuition Assistance pays up to 100 with a
cap of 250 per semester hour or 4,500 per
fiscal year.

Oct 92 or later have 14 years to use their

(MGIB-AD)
- Definition
- The MGIB-AD is an educational assistance
program established on 1 July 1985 to encourage
servicemembers to enlist in the active services.
US law requires that any active duty member that
meets 2 year tour eligibility requirement,
in-processes for MGIB-AD and either accepts or

- ELIGIBILITY
- Served at least 90 aggregate days on active duty

20Transferability of Entitlement

26 Student Loan Repayment Program
- Current policy is Chaplin, Health Professional
and Enlisted Loan Repayment Program (CHELRP).
Policy went into effect 1 October 2009 and ended
31 July 2011. - Policy Number 11-0009 (P11-0009) went into effect
1 August 2011. This policy applies to those
entering or serving in a traditional status in
the ARNG.
27 Student Loan Repayment Program
- SLRP (Student Loan Repayment Program)
- - Allowed to bring in new loans but they can only
be added after reenlisting for at least 6 years
while inside of the one year reenlistment window. - - Payments are made on a yearly anniversary
schedule. - - Payments vary up to 7,500 a year.
- - Maximum amount is 50,000.
- -NSLDS summary individual loan pages must be
uploaded into IMARC before requesting a Control
Number.
28 Student Loan Repayment Program
- A soldier can keep the SLRP program when they
accept commission. - A soldier receives 6 years of eligible payments
whether enlisted or officer. If Soldier
commissions, SLRP will complete on the original
completion date established by the Solders SLRP
Addendum no exceptions.
29 AGR and Military Technician
- Soldiers accepting AGR or Military Technician
position between 09 Oct. 2008 and 02 Nov. 2010,
will continue to receive SLRP up to the original
expiration date. - Under current policy soldiers will receive SLRP
unless they extend to meet AGR or Military
Technician time requirements, in that case SLRP
will be terminated without recoupment.
30National Student Loan Data System
- NSLDS report is required starting 1 Oct.
2010. Go to www.nslds.ed.gov/, and fill out
personal information (including FAFSA pin
number). Once logged in, review loans listed for
correctness. Print or save all loan information
and turn complete report in to unit Battalion
Career Counselor.
31 Obtaining Duplicate Pin Number

- Log into www.pin.ed.gov/ using social security
number, first two letters of last name, and birth
date. There is a final question which was choose
the originally time the FAFSA website was logged
into, the question is case sensitive so capital
letters apply. Be sure to choose DISPLAY NOW
in the drop down box to review your pin number
immediately.
