3Getting to Know the iPad
Change orientation Swipe to change screens or
move in a document Pinch to zoom in an image
(Photos) Bring up the keyboard and type a search
in Safari (web browser)

Double tap the Home Button to bring up recently
used apps in a bar along the bottom.
Swipe right from the Home Screen to search for
apps, music, files, email or contacts--if you
can't find something, look here
5Connecting to WIFI
Settings gt Wi-Fi gt Choose a
network On your own device, you may have
to enter a password or log in to the network in
Safari
6Setting up Email
Settings gt Mail, Contacts, Calendars gt Add
Account ERL iPads have a Gmail account. The
password is on the card in the pocket.
7Other email accounts
All of these accounts can be added easily
8Printing from iPads
- The ERL has an HP LaserJet Pro Color printer that
will print from our iPads. - change the network to the printer network.
- Locate the print option in the app that you want
to print from. - Select the printer.
- The cost is the same as other print jobs in the
ERL.
9Use an app to take notes and print
Open the Notes app on the first screen Type some
notes Tap the share icon Tap print and select the
printer Check the Mail app to view and delete
email items.
10Using the iPad Camera
- Tap the camera button on the home screen
- Hold upright for portrait style, hold sideways
for landscape - Tap subject to change focus
- Pinch to zoom in or out
- Tap the camera button on the right to take the
photo - Check the photo app under camera roll to review
your photos

12Setting up Dropbox
The Dropbox app is on all ERL devices and you
can log in on the device. If you don't have an
account, you can create one on the iPad. You get
2gb free storage On your own device, download
free app or access by browser on your computer

Many apps on the iPad allow you to listen to
audio or watch video Tap the iHeart app and PBS
apps to try it out
