overweight compared to 63 and 66 in New Bedford
and Fall River - Obesity rates were also higher in New Bedford
(29) and Fall River (32) than in MA (22) - Leisure time physical activity rates were greater
in MA (78) compared to 65 in both New Bedford
and Fall River - Fruits and vegetable consumption was also greater
in MA than in New Bedford and Fall River (29 vs.
21)

- Between 2006-2008, 64 of all Massachusetts
adults reported having a colonoscopy compared
with 55 and 54 in New Bedford and Fall River,
respectively - During the same period, 23 of Massachusetts
adults reported having an FOBT test compared with
29 and 28 in New Bedford and Fall River,
respectively - 85 of women reported having a mammography in MA
compared to 84 in New Bedford and (83) in Fall
River - 61 of men reported having a PSA test in MA
compared to 60 in New Bedford and 66 in Fall
River
