NGB-EO. Ensure combat readiness of all National
Guard personnel by fostering an environment of
respect, growth, and human dignity through
compliance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as
amended in 1972.
- ARNG. The mission of the Army National Guard
Equal Opportunity - Program is to ensure effective management at the
State level of Affirmative Action - goals and objectives, reporting requirements and
oversight of implementation of - NGR (AR) 600-21. The objective of the program is
to formulate, direct, and sustain - a comprehensive effort that ensures fair
treatment for all soldiers based solely on - merit, fitness, and capability that support
readiness. The program provides equal - opportunity for all ARNG military personnel,
contributing to mission - accomplishment, cohesion, and readiness.

The NGB Office of Equal Opportunity and Civil
Rights is organized as a joint staff office of
the National Guard Bureau serving as the higher
headquarters for the entire National Guard
military, civilian, and technician State level
force. Responsible to develop, implement and
enforce EO, EEO and Civil Rights policy to assist
States and Territories IAW DoD Directives, EEOC
Guidelines, and applicable laws.
