10To show possession We add -s to a noun in
the singular and to irregular plural nouns.
It is the boys dog. (It is his dog the dog
belongs to him.) It is the childrens ball.
(It is their ball the ball belongs to them.)
We add - to regular plural nouns. This is the
girls house. (It is their house the house
belongs to them) We add -s to the last noun
of a phrase to show that something belongs
to two or more people. This is Mary and Johns
car. (It is their car.)
