RMA x RVSM

• Duties and responsibilities
• establish and maintain a database of RVSM
  approvals
• monitor aircraft height-keeping performance and
  the occurrence of large height deviations, and
  report results appropriately
• conduct safety assessments and report results
  appropriately
• monitor operator compliance with State approval
  requirements and
• initiate necessary remedial actions if RVSM
  requirements are not met.

• RMA Manual (Manual of Operating Procedures and
  Practices for Regional Monitoring Agencies in
  relation to the use of a 300 m (1 000 ft)
  Vertical Separation Minimum Between FL 290 and FL
  410 inclusive)

• And when it doesnt work?
• Contact the regional office.
• Ask for help regarding contacting a particular
  State or group of States.

• If they cannot contact States
• They cannot monitor the airspace.
• They cannot provide the service they were created
  for.
