• Stand at door and greet students.
• Post name and room number.
• Sign attendance cards and take required head
  counts.
• Hand out all materials
• Be prepared to handle a lot of paperwork
  throughout the first week.

• Greet students at the door.
• Have your name, class, room number, and class
  period written on the board.
• Pass out class expectations and materials list.
• While students are reading the expectations,
  check student schedule cards to verify that
  everyone is in the correct place. Take
  attendance and add new students to class roster.

• Welcome the students and talk a little about
  yourself (experience, classes you are teaching,
  etc.). Go over your course objectives and
  expectations.
• Discuss how/when extra help is available.
• Teach a lesson and give an assignment.
