2Helpful Hints Prior to the bottle drive do the
following Contact your local recycle
establishment and see if you can display a flyer
there and if they will accept donations on our
behalf. That way if anyone arrives to recycle
their bottles they may see an option to donate
the money to CHS. ImportantgtgtgtAlso, ask the
recycler what is the best way to get them the
bottles to be processed (they will like that a
lot!) Contact your local pubs and restaurants to
see if they would donate their bottles to us for
a week or something to that effect. This is a
great way to get a lot of bottles quickly and
easily. Contact everyone you know using social
media, phone etc do this as soon as possible.
The sooner they know about the Bottle drive the
better, and give them a drop off
point. Advertise with this flyer as much as you
can, schools, work Post office, grocery stores,
pubs, everywhere! Let them know we will accept
donations as well if they have no bottles! As an
incentive, offer to put the names of all of the
parents who helped into a hat for a draw. The
winner would receive a receipt in their name so
they can get a tax receipt for the donation! OUR
RESULTS Bottle Drive Dec 2nd, 2012 Our youth
rep did a trial run and we made 400.00 total,
275.00 in bottles and 125.00 in donations.
