Steps of the water cycle

• Evaporation-liquid turns to gas (water vapor)
• Condensation- gas turns to liquid (clouds)
• Precipitation-rain and snow
• Runoff-water flows down mountains and surfaces
  into streams and lakes
• Infiltration- water soaks into ground
  (groundwater)
• Transpiration- water absorbed by trees and
  released into air as water vapor
